If you are reporting a bug, the four things that make it fixable: your device and OS version, the app version (bottom of the game's Settings screen), which critter you were playing, and roughly what minute of the run it happened at. A screen recording beats all four.
Common questions
I reinstalled the game and my progress is gone
Your save lives on your device and nowhere else — there is no account and no cloud backup, which is also why the game never asks who you are. Deleting the app deletes the save, and we hold no copy to restore.
Purchases are the exception: they belong to your Apple or Google account. Use Restore purchases in the game's Settings screen and they come back.
I paid and did not get what I bought
Try Restore purchases in Settings first — that resolves most cases, especially if the app closed mid-transaction. If it does not, email us with the receipt Apple or Google sent you and we will sort it out.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us. For Apple, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google, use the order history in the Play Store. Your rights as a consumer are set out in our terms of use.
The rewarded ad button never appears
That is deliberate in three cases: during your first two runs, when you own the ad-free pack, and when no ad has finished loading. The game refuses to show a button that would fail — a dead button is worse than no button.
Otherwise it is nearly always the network. Ads need a connection, and they will not load on a plane or behind a captive-portal Wi-Fi. If you declined the consent form, no ad is ever requested at all — reopen it under Settings → Privacy to change that.
How do I change my privacy or advertising choices?
Everything is under Settings → Privacy in the game: the analytics switch, and a button that reopens the advertising consent form. On iPhone you can also revisit tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Why does the Android version ask for the microphone?
It does not use it. The audio library that plays the game's music declares that permission whether or not an app records anything, and it comes along with it. Cursed Critters contains no recording code and never opens the microphone.
A critter is locked and I cannot buy it
Nine of the twelve are locked at the start. Each one wants either a quantity of gold or a specific feat — surviving a certain time, reaching a level, winning with a given number of worlds. Tap the silhouette and the game tells you which of the two, and how far off you are.
Where is creative mode?
It opens after your first victory — that is, after you beat a boss at the ten-minute mark. Then you can pick your weapons, passives and level freely. Its runs are kept apart from your real records on purpose.
Does it work offline?
Completely. The whole game runs on your device. Without a connection you simply get no ads, which some would call an improvement.
Is there an Android version?
It is built from the same code and is coming after the iOS release. The fastest way to hear about it is to write and ask to be told.
Accessibility
The game is played one-handed with a floating joystick that appears wherever your thumb lands, so it never asks you to reach a fixed corner of the screen. Sound, music and haptics can each be turned off independently in Settings, and nothing in the game depends on hearing it. If something in Cursed Critters is unplayable for you, tell us — that is a bug report we take seriously.
